It was Xanthe and Hamish's big day today - their first day at Wulagi Primary School. It was a bit of a shock for mum and dad too as we had to set the alarm for 0645 to ensure we got there for 0755 when school starts. When we have moved into 29 Kingfisher it won't be so bad as the school is a couple of minutes walk away but from where we are at the moment it is a good 20 minutes drive.
Their school uniform is very smart...
Apologies for the blurry image to Xanthe's right but Cameron can never resist play acting to the camera.
After we had dropped them off and their new headmistress had walked them into their respective classrooms sun glasses were needed by both Tish and I, it is going to be even harder when Cameron starts after Easter.
Our concerns were needless as they both had a great time and are really looking forward to starting full time. Everyone in the school is so friendly that we did not have any real concerns but it was a relief that they both had had a good time.
Whilst they were in school we completed yesterdays second task, namely picking up our new car (having got the bankers draft first this time.)
Cameron who was a bit upset that he wasn't in school as well did agree to pose by the car but he was not a happy bunny!
The biggest piece of news though was the digital arrival of Tish's Australian Health Practitioner Registration Agency certificate of Registration as a Midwife. It is full steam ahead now as all the necessary pieces of paper are now in place.
They look fantastic, love those uniforms. Thought you said Cameron couldn't start school til he was 6 so househusband was needed? Not good enough at car identification to work out what that is, but looks up to coping with flooded roads on your bird spotting outings?
ReplyDeleteCameron goes into his pre-school year this year and then can enter P1 in the calander year he turns five. We had thought it was six as well but not the case!
ReplyDeleteCar is a Toyota Landcruiser Prado - 10 years old 170k on clock and long range fuel tanks so can do over 1100km before needing to fill up!
