Cameron recieved two parcels today - his birthday present from Auntie Jo. A safari kit which he was most taken with..
The irony was that we had just returned from a quick trip to Knuckey Lagoon - Cameron wanted to get straight back into the car and go back out again but I had some paperwork I needed to complete - most notably my CV and contact with Charles Darwin University.
My attempts at digiscoping continue to have mixed results. The highlights photgraphic wise from today (blogger software allowing) are
Grey Butcherbird
Little Pied Cormorant - trying to hide in some distant reeds
Intermediate Egret
"headless" Comb-crested Jacana
Back home we had a pair of Australasian Figbirds feeding in the garden (photos taken with normal camera not our digiscope set up).
Apologies for above photo can't delete it blogger wont let me!
The day finished off with a "mini" gecko on the window of the boys room.
Looks as if you have a lot of undergrowth in your garden! Thought Cameron looked a wow in his safari outfit! Loved the gecko - fabulous to have them around. What exactly are you thinking of re Darwin University?
ReplyDeleteLooking at Masters degree at moment but not sure.
DeleteDom, you can probably delete the photo if you go into edit post (click the pencil logo at the bottom of the post)... then go from picture to html mode via the tabs at the top of the post window. scroll down until you find the picture - you may be able to shrink it by changing width, of just cut the image part of the coding!
ReplyDeletegood luck!

Hi Kath
DeleteThanks for that - went into the html section and found that there was no specified width so just added the width that the picture above it had and it seems to have worked!
Dom
yee-haw! well done!
DeleteCameron looks fab, delighted it's such a good fit. Your butcher bird is the pick of those shots for me - it's very effective with the telegraph lines framing it! Light isn't very good, but I'll see what photoshop can do with that for you.
ReplyDeleteWill e-mail you the original and a couple of others of it.
DeleteMy favourite is the Little Pied Cormorant - just liked the way it appeared in the reeds.
