Whistling Kites

I have been going through some of my shots from when Jo was over and have a nice selection of Whistling Kites from when we went on the Adelaide River Cruise - concentrated on the crocs in the original post but have edited these ones down...

The forecast for the rest of this week is hot - back to Darwin temps on Wednesday 35+. We have had it easy though as inland have had temps reaching a mind boiling 45+ already and the summer is only starting!

  1. I think the temperature is either boiling or mind boggling....... And I remember those shots! Will see what I can do with the ones you sent me of the bird of paradise. (PS Door 3 about to go up....)

    1. Nah the temp is a combination of them both!
Very odd turning the radio on to hear detailed instructions as to how to prepare your house for an imminent bush fire. Luckily not near us!

    1. They do indeed make a loud whistling type noise, although they are not actually a member of the kite family so the name is only half right!
