More of the cryptic title later...
Today was the day before the night to come - in other words Tish starts her night shifts tonight so sleeps in the afternoon.
We spent the morning wandering around Darwin Botanic Gardens with Cameron.
What a great place it is, we primarily went around the rain forest section but it is the ideal place to while away some time.
It is a nice mix of native and non native plants..
I really liked the top trees variation in textures on the trunk.
In amongst the trees were other flowering plants most spectacularly these
I tried to take a decent photo of the Banyan tree one of the common rain forest species in this part of the world but the photo of the tree did not come out well but the one of the roots shows how well trees have adapted to develop aerial roots.
After we had walked round we headed back for lunch. I picked the children up from school and took them straight onto the beach in order to give Tish a chance to get some sleep.
We always take the footie ball onto the beach
although half the time we don't use it as there are always lots of things to do and see, so in light of the title can you find Waldo and identify it to group in this picture.
The other major event today was Cameron's first attempt at photography.
Not bad if you ask me
I know a waldo is something that hides in books and that you have to find. Can't identify this waldo I'm afraid. Help!!
ReplyDeleteI've already done this once !! They said it was published. I know what a Waldo is but can't make it out in the pic. Help. Let's hope this works!
ReplyDeletei believe Waldo may be a species of Ghost Crab! he's centre frame, facing towards bottom right corner....
ReplyDeleteHe is indeed Kath - will post the pix with him circled and then one from a different angle. Roo and crab spotters badges now!
