With Tish feeling slightly better we decided to take the bikes out and go for a ride along the cycle path between Nightcliff and Rapid Creek. In total we went about 5km. What is great about Darwin is the network of tarmac cycle paths that cover the whole area. We took the camera but it is always difficult to take pictures whilst you are riding although we passed one cyclist who was videoing himself as he rode along!
We started from the car park next to the white jetty in the background:

We stopped on the beach, the sand was nice and cool between the toes
The beach continues for miles...
.....infact if you continued walking you would go past the hospital and eventually Lee Point and Buffalo Creek. The water always looks so inviting but even at this time of year Box Jellyfish are a real issue so however tempting it is you have to resist!

So are Mummy & Daddy going to do better than they did last year in New Pitsligo? I mean, it's a sad day when they sit and watch and let Auntie Jo come in last instead in the parents' race!
