Rainbows and Yorkeys.

A quiet day today, Tish needed to hand in her uniforms at the Hospital and complete her last bit of paperwork as she has now finished apart from a one day workshop just before we leave.
Whilst she was sorting those bits out Jo, Cameron and myself walked round Casuarina Coastal Park just behind the Hospital. It is a great place a mix of dry woodland and mangrove swamps...
with some nice boardwalks across the creeks..
The birds can be spectacular and offer great photo opportunities - well for those of us who remembered to put a card in their digi camera, Jo and I returned in the afternoon when she had rectified that minor mistake!
Here are a selection of my best from the two visits today..
Mistletoebird

Sulphur-crested Cockatoo (Nigel from the cartoon Rio)

and Rainbow Lorikeets the undoubted star of the show

We then picked up Tish and went on to the beach itself to look for Pansy Shells.
The beach is stunning...
Cameron always enjoys his trips to the beach..

Tish always has an eye for the smaller details as well..

Once we had picked up Hamish and Xanthe from school and Tish had come back from her Opticians appointment we spent the afternoon in the pool.

It was whilst we were hanging up the towels post swim that Tish answered my mobile and we got the news we were waiting for WE HAVE A HOUSE IN CAIRNS!!!

Our new address is in the fantastically named suburb Yorkeys Knob. Deposit is paid and we will be able to move in on 1st November.
