Christmas Concert

Yesterday (10th December) was the Yorkeys Knob State School Christmas concert. It was not Christmas themed - which given the heat was absolutley fine by me - rather it was Music From The Movies.
It was as you would expect organised chaos and exceedingly well attended, in fact talking to Mr Kettle the headmaster it was the best attended concert ever which was great for the children as they had all put in a huge amount of effort.
Cameron's year danced to I like to Move It Move It from Madagascar, they all had masks of one of the characters on
he was Alex the Lion!
I am not sure if he came over shy or more likely this was how his teacher MrsK set it up but he is on the far right of the group, occasionally hidden behind one of the other lions...

Hamish's year did Let It Grow from Dr Suess's The Lorax. He was dressed in glowing Christmas lights and wearing his snorkling gear although I never quite got to the bottom of why...

Finally Xanthe's year did The Cup Song from Pitch Perfect

They were all brilliant as you would expect!

We took a video with Tish's phone..

not the greatest but you get the idea

  1. Excellent! Not sure what happened right at the end of Hamish's, but they'd obviously been very well rehearsed, well done all of them. Yep, I'm sure Xanthe must have driven you mad practising, that was brilliant all round, very tricky but really well done. Proud Auntie here.
