Last day before move....NOT!!!!

Today was supposed to be our last day in the holiday home as the container was meant to be arriving first thing tomorrow, but as the saying goes "the best laid plans of mice and men...", ours were stuffed cos no-one in the moving company bothered to check that the container was loaded on the train from Brisbane to Cairns. It wasn't and so as I was told at 1pm sorry but nothing we can do your furniture is not being delivered until Friday....
LUCKILY despite the fact that it is a total eclipse on Monday where we are currently staying was not booked and we can stay in the same cabin until Friday so watch this space...

Anyway that little bundle of joyous news was still to come first thing this morning so having dropped Tish off for an early shift we went for a scenic drive to Copperlode dam on Lake Morris one of the main water supplies for Cairns in the hills. The road was lets say interesting; winding along the edge of the mountain, sometimes narrow and sometimes no crash barriers so will not be doing that route too often (certainly not in the rain!).
The views at the end of it though were definitely worth it

We called in to the new house on the way back to drop a few things off and give the letting agent our signed copy of the condition report.

Rest of the day was spent doing chores until we had to go and pick up Tish (and break the good news regarding our furniture), of course we went via ANOTHER play park
