Chinese New Year

Once again apologies for lack of blogs and then like London Buses they all turn up at once.
Last weekend we went into town for the Chinese New Year Parade.
It is the Year of the Horse

although according to the TV subtitles it was the Year of the Whores...

Before the parade you were  able to wander around looking at various stalls and feed the dragons envelopes with money in - this brings good luck apparently

Cameron was in a bit of a strop and decided not too so we shall wait and see what the year brings.

The parade was a mix of dragon dancers

Larger paper dragons

And drums and dancers making a lot of noise to ward off evil spirits

Not quite sure what the balcony of Wheres Wally characters had to do with it though...
