Its Cameron's fourth birthday today and having given him the chance to choose we spent the morning in the wavepool on Darwin's waterfront:
A very good choice as it turned out. the pool is fantastice with ten different wave cycles in twenty minute bursts. The last set that we had were breaking right where the children are sitting and they were very strong, even Tish and I struggled to stay on our feet! When the waves are on the rest cycle the water is great to swim in and there are a series of undercover paddling pools with showers etc that are great for the smaller children. We will return here me thinks - although with better sun screen as despite liberally doses of factor 30 for all we are slightly red in places!!!!
We had lunch at a nearby coffee bar - enormous portions (although the fact that we are not completely adjusted to the heat may have made them feel larger than they were) but very good.
Then a quick dash dwon the road to view another property in nearby town / city of Palmerston. very nice place and only about 20 mins from the Hospital so we will put in an application when it arrives in Tish's inbox on Monday.
After that another plunge in the pool at the holiday appartment before a shower then out for a take away that we took to East point to watch the sun go down. The sunset was a bit spoilt by clouds but still the colours were spectacular.
The two intrepid explorers view the area....
This shelter also had a BBQ for you to use.
Would you mind please enlarging all your pictures to a larger size so I can see all your beautiful faces. THANKING YOU MUCHLY!
